It is estimated that healthcare supply chain data changes at a rate of approximately 30% per year.  This change rate comes from many directions and different entry points into the hospital.  Changes come from  suppliers making ~10 million item data changes every year and GPOs making ~30,000 contract changes every month. In addition, there are constant additions and changes being made to global data standardization, including HCPCS (4x year), UNSPSCs (2x year) and GTINs from GUDID information that must be assigned and maintained
